Spirulina carries a blue pigment called phycocyanin. We extract it, dry it into a fine powder, and sell it for recipes where the colour has to be clean, bright, and repeatable.
It works best in cold or neutral bases. Acid shifts the shade, and heat can flatten it, so start with a small run in your own formula.
